A Little Ditty 'Bout Baxter and Diane

Diane enjoys visits from our furry volunteer Baxter - who seems to be making himself quite comfortable!

Callie Finds Love Again

Janice asked Michelle to be sure that her calico cat, Callie, was taken care of after her passing. Michelle decided to take Callie home - she is still shy, but eating well and occasionally letting the family love on her. Thanks to Hope's Pet Program, Callie was able to see a vet before joining her new family!

Three Amigos

Are you seeing triple? China, Otis and Squish need a new home!

China, who birthed the other two dogs, is a 9 year old female, who is now spayed. Otis is 7, and Squish is 6.  The dogs, who are healthy, energetic Chihuahua mixes, weigh between 6-12 pounds.  If they can’t be adopted together, individual placement would also be welcome.

Their current owner is overwhelmed in his bereavement and is looking to find loving, new homes for these wonderful pets as soon as possible.

Hope can assist with getting the dogs up to date on vaccinations, neutering, start up supplies and support.

Please share!

A Fond Farewell to Buster

Since 2012, Hope volunteers Mary Tracy Sigman and Buster visited Shell Point, the Hope Care Center at HealthPark, and our administrative office. Buster recently passed away at 9 years old. We enjoyed his energy and his weekly visits. He will be missed. Please keep Mary Tracy and her family in your thoughts.

Hey There, Delilah!

Update May 30: Delilah went home with Lori, her daughter and two other dogs. Lori reported that Delilah is an absolute sweetheart! They slept together last night and Delilah is quite the cuddle bug.

Urgent - Delilah is a healthy, friendly, 5 year old pit bull who needs a new home. Friends are visiting her twice a day, while her owner, Gregory, remains at the Hope Hospice House. Delilah is friendly and eager to please. She walks nicely on a leash. If you know someone interested in adopting this loving dog, please call Colette at (239) 985-7728 for more information.

Update on Larry's Adoption

Missy's Golden Years

Update April 2: Thank you to Shirley for giving Missy a forever home!
Edward loves Missy, but he can no longer care for her during his illness. He and his daughter would like to find her a new, loving home where she will be comfortable in her golden years.

Missy is a 15 year old Calico short-hair. She is spayed and declawed in the front. As an indoor cat, she does not like to leave her familiar surroundings and loved ones. She likes to stay in her room and leaves to explore, periodically.

Please help provide peace of mind for this family by helping spread the word to get Missy adopted. Hope can help you with start up costs and supplies.

Loving Larry

Update 2/14: Larry, along with 20 pounds of food and two bags of litter, arrived at Michelle’s house on Valentine’s day. He rubbed against her legs and checked out the entire apartment before he nestled in. Michelle is grateful for her lovely Valentine’s gift, and we are grateful to Michelle for giving Larry a new home!

Can you help find a home for Larry?

Larry absolutely loves human interaction, and he is in need of a new home where he can cuddle to his heart’s content. He’s a charming orange tabby who is about 8 years old. He gets along well with both dogs and cats, and has been well cared for by Dr. Gross at the Suburban Animal Hospital. Larry is neutered, declawed in the front, and microchipped. He is current with his rabies vaccine and will have an additional checkup on February 14th.

As they are dealing with the challenges of serious illness, Larry’s owner and family would be deeply grateful to anyone who could adopt this affectionate kitty.

Adoption Opportunity: Spanky the Cat

Update 2/5: We are happy to report that Spanky went to live with Anne! The family is relieved, knowing that he's in good hands.

Spanky was a kitten when Anne adopted him from a rescue, 7 years ago. Now, Spanky needs to be rescued again as Anne's health prevents her from caring for him.

Spanky is friendly and affectionate, but as with many felines, he prefers to be the initiator. He is good with other cats, but his dog interactions are unknown. He has always been a healthy cat, with a local vet in place.

If you are interested in adopting Spanky, please contact Colette at 239-985-7728.
